700 visitors celebrate PUR cover band “Abenteuerland” at Huxarium Gartenpark Höxter

Höxter (TK)u). It was an evening full of nostalgia and goosebumps: Around 700 visitors flocked to the Huxarium Garden Park at the weekend to experience the PUR cover band “Abenteuerland” live. Organized amidst the special atmosphere of the archaeological park, the site was transformed into a large open-air stage for a few hours, where the greatest hits of the Swabian cult band PUR were played. People danced, celebrated and sang along! Hearts beat a lot faster in the Huxarium garden park!
“PUR music has a real addictive factor for many,” enthused the fans, who sang along to every song. The cover band revived classics such as “Drachen sollen fliegen”, “Lena”, “Wenn sie diesen Tango hört” and “Funkelperlenaugen” and musically took the audience right into the heart of “Abenteuerland”. For almost 15 years, the band has been delighting PUR fans throughout Germany and offering an alternative during the long breaks between the original band’s major tours. Abenteuerland” succeeds in authentically bringing the unmistakable sound and emotional intensity of Hartmut Engler and his band to the stage.
PUR themselves have been a phenomenon for over 30 years: more than 12 million records sold, sold-out tours and timeless hits have made them the most successful German-speaking band – and also one that people argue passionately about. In Höxter, at any rate, the enthusiasm was unbroken. Whether young or old – the visitors danced, sang and dreamed together in the open air. At the end, there was a standing ovation for a show that proved that even a cover can touch the heart and soul.
