Audiences are drawn to Adventureland in cool weather

Oelde (kme). Despite the drop in temperatures, 300 German rock fans – wrapped up warm – enjoyed the second Oelde Cover Night of the summer in the Vier-Jahreszeiten-Park on Saturday evening. Under the motto “Made in Germany”, the Pur cover band “Abenteuerland” and the formation “Pfefferminz-Hommage an M. M. Westernhagen” offered top-class music and warming for the heart against the autumnal chill on the Sparkassen-Waldbühne. “Fans of this music are in for a great evening tonight,” predicted Wolfgang Rettig, the responsible employee at Forum Oelde, at the start of the four-hour cover night. “Unfortunately, today is not the ideal weather for an open-air event,” added Rettig. Despite the less than ideal weather conditions, the two German rock cover bands put on an excellent show, inviting the audience to sing and dance along and rewarding them for coming. The band “Abenteuerland” from Braunschweig kicked things off. With well-known Pur hits such as “Versunken” and “Indianer”, the five musicians whisked the audience away to an adventure land full of rhythmic sounds and poetic lyrics. Charismatic and visibly enjoying their music, the band sought to get close to the audience. Singer Carsten Siebert ended up singing “Funkelperlenaugen” arm in arm with female fans who had traveled from Sassenberg.
